Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. What This Policy Covers

"Cookies" and "tracking technologies" as used in this policy refer to any mechanism — whether stored on your device or maintained by our systems — that enables the Service to function securely, remember your preferences, and deliver a personalised, high-quality experience tailored to your professional needs.

This policy applies to all pages and features operated under the Jewellery Design Center domain ("JDC", "we", "us"). It explains what tracking we use, why we use it, and how you can control it.

2. How We Use Tracking Technologies

2.1 Keeping You Securely Signed In

These are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They do not require your consent and cannot be switched off while you are signed in.

When you sign in, the Service places secure, encrypted tokens on your device to maintain your authenticated session. These tokens carry only the minimum information necessary to verify your identity and subscription status — they contain no payment data, contact information, or government identifiers. They are protected against interception and cannot be accessed by third-party scripts.

A short-lived session credential keeps you signed in during active use and is automatically renewed while you remain active. A long-term renewal credential allows seamless re-authentication without requiring you to sign in again for up to 7 days. A separate administrative credential is issued exclusively to authorised platform operators for the duration of an administrative session.

2.2 Remembering Your Preferences

We use tracking to remember your interface preferences — such as your chosen display theme — so that every time you return to JDC, the platform feels familiar and comfortable. This information is retained only on your own device and is never shared or used for any purpose other than personalising your visual experience.

2.3 Improving Your Experience and Serving Better Designs

With your consent, the Service uses third-party tracking to collect anonymised signals about how users engage with JDC. This helps us understand which types of designs attract the most interest, which platform features are most valuable, and how we can make browsing faster and more intuitive for jewellery professionals.

Aggregate usage tracking helps us understand overall platform performance and usage patterns so we can prioritise improvements that matter most to our users. Campaign effectiveness tracking enables us to measure whether our promotional efforts are reaching the right audience and helping new users find designs suited to their needs. Experience quality tracking is used to identify opportunities to improve content discovery, making it easier for you to find the designs most relevant to your collections.

These services are operated by independent third-party providers, each governed by their own privacy commitments. JDC does not control how these providers store or further process the anonymised signals they receive.

2.4 Delivering Core Platform Functionality

Certain tracking is used purely to make the platform work correctly — for example, remembering where you were in a browsing session so that navigating between designs feels seamless, or ensuring that the same promotional content is not shown to you repeatedly. This tracking contains no personally identifying information and exists solely to serve a better, more coherent experience.

3. Your Consent

When you first visit the Jewellery Design Center platform as an anonymous visitor, a consent banner is displayed giving you the opportunity to accept or decline non-essential tracking. Strictly necessary tracking (Section 2.1 above) operates regardless of your choice, as it is required for the Service to function. All other tracking — including the analytics described in Section 2.3 — is only activated after you click Accept All.

If you click Reject, non-essential tracking will not be activated. Your session and preferences will continue to work normally.
Implicit consent on account creation and sign-in. By registering for a Jewellery Design Center account and signing in to the Service, you expressly consent to our use of cookies and similar tracking technologies described in this Cookie Policy, including the analytics described in Section 2.3. The act of creating an account and authenticating your session is, for the avoidance of doubt, treated as your affirmative opt-in to all categories of tracking described herein and supersedes any prior banner-level choice you may have made as an anonymous visitor. The banner is therefore not displayed while you are signed in. If you wish to withdraw this consent at any time, you may sign out and revisit the platform as an anonymous visitor, where the banner controls remain available. You may also request deletion of your account and associated tracking identifiers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by signing out of your account and clearing your browser's stored data for this site, which will reset your preference and display the consent banner again on your next visit. Your account and its data held on our servers are not affected by clearing browser data alone.

4. Data Use and Sharing

Tracking data collected directly by JDC is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service. We do not sell, rent, or share tracking data with data brokers, advertising exchanges, or unaffiliated third parties for commercial purposes. Where anonymised signals are shared with third-party service providers, this is done solely to enable the experience improvements described in this policy, under applicable data processing obligations.

5. Your Controls

You may manage tracking through your browser settings, which allow you to restrict or delete cookies at any time. Please note that disabling essential sign-in tracking will prevent you from accessing your account. Clearing your browser's stored data will reset your consent preference — the banner will reappear on your next visit, giving you the opportunity to make a fresh choice.

Third-party tracking providers may offer their own opt-out mechanisms pursuant to applicable privacy law. JDC does not operate or guarantee the availability of those mechanisms.

6. Policy Amendments

JDC reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication at this URL. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-platform notification. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
